Pascale & Tim’s Wedding Day, event with Knots ‘N Such, Raleigh Wedding Planner and Florist

Feature Image by Joe Payne Photography, Knots ‘N Such, Raleigh Wedding Planner and Florist

Pascale and Tim’s wedding day was a beautiful blend of cultures and traditions from their family’s Lebanese and Japanese backgrounds, as well as, American wedding traditions.  The backdrop for the ceremony was Umstead Park on the Umstead Hotel & Spa’s grounds, with an indoor ceremony, in a ballroom within the Hotel.  Knots ‘N Such, Raleigh Wedding Planner and Florist, had the privilege to create blush and white garden style arrangements as the focal points for both the ceremony & reception.  We were thankful and honored to work with such a wonderful team of vendors that created such a great day for the bride and groom!

We love hearing from our brides and how they felt about their wedding flowers.  Pascale left this sweet message on our WeddingWire page.  “Amy is amazing! We worked on my wedding flowers together. She understood my vision so well and has such good taste when it comes to creating beautiful bouquets and centerpieces. She was SO responsive replying to my emails very timely. She is extremely flexible and accommodating as well. I changed my mind so many times during the design process and she was always happy to make the adjustments and to work with me to bring my vision into a reality. She was always smiling, friendly and just a great vendor who made the wedding planning process much much easier. If you have the chance to work with her, you should grab it! Very highly recommended!”

Please contact us today if you are in the market for a wedding planner and florist!  We look forward to hearing from you!

XOXO,

Amy

Erica and Josh’s Wedding Day, event planned with Knots ‘N Such, Raleigh Wedding Planner and Florist

Erica and Josh are truly the most precious couple, and I have such wonderful memories of their wedding day! The weather was beautiful, the venue was picturesque, and the vintage touches were perfect. These two lovebirds tied the knot at the historic Merrimon-Wynne House in Downtown Raleigh.  The ceremony was held outdoors on the lawn, with the main house being the cocktail area, and finally guests were ushered into the carriage house for an evening of dining, dancing, and fun activities.  Knots ‘N Such, Raleigh Wedding Planner and Florist, enjoyed so much providing both the floral decor, as well as, providing coordination for this joyful couple.  With touches of ivories and shades of blue, it truly was an evening to remember.  We want to thank the following vendors who worked so hard alongside of us to bring this vision to life:

Like I said, what a fantastic day it was, and so much fun with the wedding party and fun details.  Erica and Josh were an amazing couple to work with, and we are so glad we got to work alongside of them for their beautiful day!

We are happy we can see how happy we make our brides feel.  After the wedding, Erica shared the following review on WeddingWire, “I came to Amy almost in tears because of how overwhelmed I was with wedding planning. I booked her for coordinating and floral design and it was one of the best decisions I made. She immediately put me at ease with her calmness and comforting personality. Amy has a passion for what she does and helped me with so many decisions! She has a lot of experience and any bumps that arose she handled quickly and efficiently. She also did my florals for the decor and bouquets and they were beautiful! I told her the colors and pointed out a few pictures I liked and she created amazing pieces that I was more than happy with. Amy was so great to work with and I felt very taken care of and if you are considering either a coordinator or florist I HIGHLY recommend Amy!”

Congrats again to Erica and Josh; it was a day straight out of a storybook! If you are looking for a wedding planner and/or florist to help you pull off your big day, please do not hesitate to contact us at Knots ‘N Such!

XOXO,

Amy

NACE – Raleigh Wedding Planner Showcase

Hello friends!  I had the honor of planning and designing the January meeting for the National Association for Catering and Events.  All Saints Chapel in downtown Raleigh hosted the meeting.  What a great venue!  I’ll walk you through the evening…

Attendees entered the main Chapel doors and were directed downstairs for cocktails and appetizers.  The downstairs space can be used in a variety of ways, but we set it up for cocktails and later for dessert.  The room is a blank slate, so I opted to add some vibrant color to the table cloths and flowers to liven up the space.  Another member requested jewel tones for the meeting, so this was the perfect space to incorporate those.

After cocktail hour, guests were invited upstairs for dinner and educational presentation.  I chose to make the beautiful Chapel space rustic elegant.  So fitting for the dark wood decor and surrounding neutral colors.  An elegant burlap tablecloth was topped with dusty blue chargers, ivory napkins, and neutral flower arrangements in weathered slate vases.  I chose a variety of blooms in neutral shades and added some silver brunia to tie in the blue chargers.  We had lots of candles throughout the space, which added a  nice warm feeling to the room.  Great for one of the coldest nights of the year!

I arranged for some beautiful hand painted wooden signs for various spaces around the venue.  A welcome sign that the ladies at All Saints totally fell in love with, a coffee sign, a dessert sign, and the most unpopular of the evening…  The Unplugged Room sign.  LOL

The board wanted the topic for the meeting to revolve around going unplugged and suggested guests go unplugged for the event.  We settled on going unplugged for the presentation portion, so made the main Chapel area the Unplugged Room.  But to ask a group of business-people to go unplugged for several hours was touchy.  We nearly had a riot just asking them to go unplugged for dinner!  LOL  I even ordered chocolate iphones as bribes, er, I mean favors, and it didn’t sway them.  Totally understandable, and I hate to admit, but my phone was in my boot the entire time.  😉  (Interesting side note, the chocolates came from a friend of mine in GA.  A couple of years ago, she and a co-worker were on Cupcake Wars and WON!  So I told guests they were eating chocolates made by someone famous!  haha)

It was a great exercise because it really highlighted just how tied to our technology we really are.  I, for one, decided to go offline for at least part of every day.  So I am thankful for the evening for many reasons, and that’s just one.  After dinner, guests went back downstairs for dessert, coffee, and fun in the photobooth.  It was a beautiful night, but words don’t do justice, so please check out the pictures on the gallery or facebook pages!

Many thanks to the wonderful vendors who supported the evening!
